9/18/26 No Shows

Of all the things about being a sex provider that I absolutely hate, no-shows are right up there at the top of the list.

If you don’t know what I mean by a no-show, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Someone makes an appointment with me, we agree on a time, I get ready, and then they simply don’t show up. No text. No phone call. No “I’m sorry, something came up.” Nothing.

And after almost 11 years of doing this, I am really, really tired of it.

What makes it even worse is that sometimes these guys will text right before the appointment and say, “I’m five minutes away.” So I’m sitting there expecting a knock on the door any minute—and then nothing. Five minutes turns into ten. Ten turns into twenty. Eventually you realize they aren’t coming at all.

And yes, believe it or not, there are people who deliberately make fake appointments with escorts just so they can stand us up. Maybe they think it’s funny. Maybe they have something against sex workers. Maybe it gives them some strange little feeling of power. I honestly don’t know. But I do know it happens, and it’s incredibly disrespectful.

What they apparently don’t understand—or simply don’t care about—is that my time has value.

When you make an appointment with me, I reserve that time for you. I don’t schedule somebody else. I shower, do my hair and makeup, pick out what I’m going to wear, straighten everything up and make sure I’m ready when you arrive. This is my business, and I treat an appointment like an appointment.

So when you don’t show up, you haven’t just inconvenienced me. You’ve wasted my time and potentially cost me money because I could have booked someone else during that time.

But there’s another part of it that I don’t think people realize: it hurts my feelings.

Maybe after almost 11 years it shouldn’t, but it still does. There is something insulting about another human being deciding that your time is so unimportant that they can’t even take 10 seconds to send a text saying, “I’m not coming.”

People cancel. I understand that. Life happens. You get sick. Your kid needs you. You get stuck at work. You change your mind. Hell, you get nervous and decide you just can’t go through with it. I can understand all of those things.

Just tell me.

Send me a text. Cancel the appointment. Give me the opportunity to do something else with that time. You don’t even have to give me a reason.

What I don’t understand is deliberately leaving someone sitting there waiting for you.

It’s rude. It’s inconsiderate. And after nearly 11 years of playing this particular game, I’m sick and tired of it.

If you make an appointment with a sex provider—or frankly, with anybody—remember that there is a real person on the other end of that appointment. Their time matters too.

If you can’t make it, just cancel.

It really is that simple.
